THE SHOAL

God himself - He's only on the floor a few days a week now, he will tell you he is working every day but don't listen to him, the diary says different! For the majority of the week when he is "not working" you will find him down the canal on his Narrow boat looking like Captain Jack Sparrow with a bottle of red wine in hand.. or a spiced rum.. or anything alcoholic for that matter!

Julian has been the proud owner of Salon Fish for over 100 years now (well over 30 really) but you wouldn't think it, looking at the state of his hair. All jokes aside Julian is a very passionate, approachable and supportive ageing hippy and we are lucky to have him around.

The ever approachable Salon Manager, or to lose a letter and go all French.. The Salon Manger... If anyone can't finish all their lunch, have no fear Ben will always be there to help you eat it! Ben calls Sarah the Chatty Cathy but we think he can give her a run for her money! The conversation is always flowing, being a dad the 3 boys the topic often turns to Football - which is when we all fall asleep.

Ben does manage to produce some great hair dos too amongst all the chatting and eating, he has a confidence and wealth of knowledge that always puts his clients at ease.

Most likely the first face you'll see when you walk in the door! Laura will always greet you with a warm, welcoming and infectious smile. Her all round positive outlook on life is a pleasure to be around! She has a cracking sense of humour and incredible artistic nature, although you can be the judge of that as, I can confirm Laura is the one responsible for all the jokes and artwork on the board!

Laura is incredibly hard working and her organisation skills are second to none, when she's not organising the Salon you're likely to catch her down the Bingo hall or tending to her vegetable patch.. no doubt to fuel her love for a roast dinner. Laura is the reason everyone's day runs so smoothly.

Prosecco Princess Sarah is the longest standing fish (apart from the boss himself) Her years of experience provides a wealth of knowledge in the industry and her faffing perfectionism may keep you waiting 5 minutes but she's always worth the wait!

Her home life finds her a busy mum of 2 boys with a passion of pumping iron in the Gym, meaning conversation is always entertaining and a visit in the chair with her will leave you looking and feeling equally as fantastic!

Leah – The resident speedy ginger ninja! There is nothing this lady can't do with her amazing wealth of knowledge and skill set. All of which listed below...

Leah brings great strength to the team, the Shoal wouldn't be the same without her!

Lovingly known as the gob, has recently been requested as the emergency back up fog horn for Portland Bill. Sammie is the life and noise of the Salon! If there is noise, laughter or general chaos happening, chances are Sammie is at the centre of it. Clients often comment how suspiciously quiet the salon is, on the rare occasion she isn't in. Beneath the volume control that she never uses, Sammie is all heart, always first to offer a hand or to give her expertise advise. She's full of knowledge and the definition of team player, we are convinced her heart is made of pure spun gold.

Our talented colour whiz, a profectionist at heart. Miles is known for delivering snappy on trend styles and is a very sort after stylist that has become very popular within our client base. When Miles is off the clock, he's on cloud wine! His vibrant personality... and his heavy pouring hand, makes him a joy to be around. Besides being a sassy 'spirit', he is very committed and an attentive stylist who takes extreme pride in his work. His 'shot' of enthusiasm and incredible work ethic makes him an invaluable shoal mate!

Is as hard as nails, or at least that what she wants you to think. On the surface she's the kind of woman who would scare a wasp and win just by looking at it. She walks with confidence, speaks her mind and gives off 'don't mess with me attitude.' But behind the scenes.. Soft as butter! She pretends she's made of stone but inside she's a soft, caring and supportive. Basically a marshmallow in human form. And then there's the love of her life - an Aperol Spritz. Nothing brings out that soft side faster than a big glass of orange goodness. If Aperol Spritz needed a brand ambassador she's probably on the books already! Strong, funny, kind hearted and a huge asset to the team.

Courtney is the definition of hard working! Driven, dedicated and absolutely unstoppable when she puts her mind to it. She's the teams work horse - dependable, consistent and always willing to push through challenges with grit and determination. Its not just her work ethic that makes her unforgettable.. She brings daily cheek, bold banter and a healthy dose of playful insults that keep the team (and the boss) laughing. Behind the humour is a very talented individual - Courtney shows up every day, committed, focused and a complete credit to the shoal!

Is the kind of person you notice the moment she walks into a room, not because she's trying to but because her energy is impossible to ignore. Fun, fabulous and filter free - she is the friend to say what everyone else is thinking and make you laugh while she does it. Beneath the humour and spark is a passionate soul who cares deeply about the world around her. As a committed eco-green warrior, whether she's advocating for environmental change or encouraging others to live a little greener, she leads by example driven by love for the planet and the people on it. Rosi is a genuinely good human being. While she may not always see it herself, she deserves far more credit than she gives herself. The world is brighter because she is in it and its about time she recognises the power, love and light she brings to the people around her.

Is a young dedicated trainee stylist whose quiet focus sets her apart. Though soft spoken, she puts in 100% effort into every part of her training, approaching each cut, colour and style with care and determination. Her care and attention to detail shines through in everything she does. Chloe is steadily becoming a talented stylist with a bright future ahead.

She's young, fun and delightfully cheeky, with a personality that fills the room she walks into. Fully obsessed with Harry Styles, she knows every tour date, song lyric and outfit change. She can usually be found planning her next concert adventure or belting out her favourite songs. As a twin she has grown up with a built in partner in crime, making every adventure twice as loud, twice as memorable and twice as fun. Tilly brings joy and mischief everywhere she goes.
